Who looks after your information

What we collect and why
When you buy from us, our Shopify checkout processes the details needed to take payment, fulfil your order and provide support. Payment details are handled by the checkout and its payment providers.
When you submit a review, we store your email address, chosen product, purchase source, rating, review and submission time. We use these to manage reviews, prevent duplicate entries and administer the monthly draw. Approved review text and ratings may appear publicly; your email address is not displayed. Please keep personal information out of review text.
If you join the members club, we record your email address, signup source and your choice to receive club emails. You can withdraw that choice at any time using the unsubscribe link in an email or by contacting us. Unsubscribing does not remove existing draw entries.
We keep delivery and suppression records to handle failed emails and respect unsubscribe requests. We also process technical request information to keep the site secure and limit abusive submissions. Information you send to our support address is used to answer your enquiry.
Our reasons for using information
We use order information to perform our contract with you and meet applicable record-keeping obligations. Club marketing relies on your consent. Managing submitted reviews, support, website security and preventing duplicate or fraudulent entries serve our legitimate interests in operating ProBuilt fairly and reliably. Draw administration also follows the published giveaway terms.
Services that help us
We use Shopify for shopping and checkout, Vercel for website hosting, Supabase for the database and administrator sign-in, Cloudflare for domain routing, Resend for website emails, and our email provider for support correspondence. These services process information needed to provide their functions. Their infrastructure may process information outside the UK; contact us for information about the applicable arrangements and safeguards.
Records from our previous ProBuilt website have been transferred to the replacement site, including existing membership, reviews, draw entries and email preferences. Importing those records does not create new marketing consent.
How long we keep it
We keep information for the purpose it was collected, including managing orders, published reviews, membership and draw administration, and for any necessary legal, accounting or dispute-handling period. Retention depends on the type of record and any unresolved issue. We retain enough suppression information to avoid sending further member emails after an unsubscribe. Contact us to ask about a particular record or request its deletion.
Cookies and browser storage
The website stores basket and comparison choices in your browser. Authentication and security services may use cookies needed for their functions. Shopify checkout has its own cookie and privacy information. We have not added advertising trackers or optional analytics to this replacement storefront.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to access or correct your information and, where applicable, request deletion, restriction or a portable copy. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can always object to direct marketing and withdraw marketing consent, without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
Contact support@probuilt.co.uk to make a request. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. We do not use the storefront to make solely automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
